05.31.2026 - projects backlog and informal life update
can you believe it's been a year since I updated my zonelets? i never meant to be away for so long, but life came at me fast
fuck me man it's been over a year. last time i made a life update, i quit my job at a nonprofit, the LA fires were happening, and i was hanging out with friends. uhh, blitz version of the next few months is: got a summer gig working with kids at an afterschool program (i'm bad with kids but i had fun), i got a job i applied for two years ago in my relative field of studies as a social worker, became blonde, became pink, went to santa barbara with friends, went to portland to visit my family, had a visit from maryland friends, filled a dirt hole, went to vegas for the band ghost, spent a lot of time with friends, became unblonde, started the social work job, tried a lot of new restaurants during lunch for my new job, got into baseball, toured a bunch of fucked up places, moved in with my friend razz to a new apartment, hung out with my friends a whole lot with a lot of parties along the way, went to san jose to visit friends, got my wisdom teeth removed, started trying to show up more to local organizing efforts like no data center in mpk events, saw masayoshi takanaka, got tomodachi life, did a lot of hustling and working, and had a crazy miserable month of may bc my apartment was fucked for 20 days. so. yeah.
super sloppy list of all my current projects and wants and dreams and hopes and such: im making spanish-cantonese flashcards for the 625 words you need to know as a beginner for any language, i want to make a small game using wareware or maybe decker regarding office life (there will be mechanics based on whether or not the bathroom is empty when you attempt to use it), work through my various sewing projects and maybe decluttering some clothes and turning t shirts into yarn, use some wood from daiso to either replace the shelves of my smiski display box or make a new case entirely out of wood, restore my room to its previously completed state now that repairs are done like wall art, use decker to update my dana songs page, review options for displaying music and art, reorganize the workflow entirely of my website, redo my zonelets aesthetic, download more music to my mp3, cook more eat out less, run more vegetate less, update zonelets on how my cycle experiment is going, make a vlog of my roofing experience, make a zonelets post griping about my miserable experience trying to get testosterone on my current health insurance
what can i say? i want it all, but i have a full time job. if anyone ends up reading this and has any tips/suggestions on any of my works in progress projects please hmu and let me know what to do...i got the guestbook if you need a way to reach me or my neocities profile page. hopefully talk to you soon, sooner than a year at least.
