May 5 - Apartment Explosion Technique

Yeah, my apartment is such a fucking joke. It sprinkled ever so slightly in Southern California overnight and because of a shitty roofing job several days prior, we got so turbofucked. Every single room had leaks, from the ceiling, lights, vents - it was fucking awful. So yeah, I am technically without housing right now and hopping around just trying to figure shit out for temporary stays while the unit is being repaired.

April 27 - Miku Expo 2026

Bought a last minute ticket to Miku Expo since my roomie and partner wanted to go. It was my first Miku Expo and I saw the Raspberry Monster Miku outfit for the first time that day, which pissed me off so badly that I couldn't enjoy the first three songs because I was like, what the fuck is she wearing?! But wow, hearing everyone be so hyped and playing glowsticks with everyone ruled!.

April 12 - Masayoshi Takanaka Concert

Took my partner to the Masayoshi Takanaka concert and it was so fucking amazing holy shit. We got really lucky in that a kind staff member allowed us to stand on the upper mezzanine - she probably saw how packed the floor was and took pity on us. We had amazing views all night minus this one superfan who wouldn't sit the fuck down. Guess I got a couple really cool shots of this guy, whoever he is.

My Funny Apartment Life

We recently discovered that my Epson inkjet printer also has email faxing capabilities and went a little...hogwild.

January 25 - Worst Food Truck Ever!

Everyone say hi to Marmalade, my roommate's stinky, stinky little boy. We got him a cardboard food truck at TJ Maxx for a very reasonable price and this is a photo of him in it the day we bought it. It lasted a few months, which I'm pretty happy about.

January 11 - Millefeuille Nabe

Made dinner for my roomie's mom flying in from out of state to visit him for his birthday! This was my second batch and it turned out really good! Cooking onions into the broth and using multiple kinds of soy sauce was the trick to it. And black pepper.

December 30 - Happy Birthday, my love!

Took my partner and some friends to dinner and a barcade for celebrations! Had a good time just watching my friends have a good time at the end of a long holiday season.

View of Above

I went to visit my dad's grave recently. The clouds were big and beautiful, just the type of day I love. I didn't want to leave.

A Beach in Malibu

It's been a tough November. I took myself out to the beach, hoping it would fix something. The cold Pacific waters were welcoming, and I lost myself in the sensation of sand, sun, and sea. However, I was in between two different couples having their beach date and I was so mad. Get a room!

The Late Night Ice Cream Spot

I just love the lush, vintage interior of 626 Ice Cream. I don't go very often since it's a bit of a drive and there are usually long lines, but on the rare occasions I've been, I could totally understand the popularity of this spot.

View From The Office

I used to work somewhere that gave me a view of Pershing Square in DTLA. I no longer work there, and I miss the bustle of the city sometimes, but I'm more content nowadays.

Maryland

From my trip to Maryland in 2021. It was so verdant and humid! I'd never been somewhere like that before.

View From My Old Apartment

What I wouldn't give to go back to college! I was so lucky to get to live only 5 minutes away from the beach, and I didn't even fully appreciate it. That's just the nature of being human though, I don't believe I've ever fully appreciated what I had before I didn't have it anymore. Not to say that I don't practice gratitude, but just that I try not to live worried about losing what I've got.
